Chicago’s Entertainer, Ron Hawking, knows how to deliver a performance that truly comes from his heart. And, it’s that special quality of performance that allows him to touch the heart of his audience every time he walks onto the stage. Then, at any moment, he can seamlessly step in and out of any personality he chooses to portrays. Going well beyond simply creating an impersonation, Ron has an uncanny ability to reinterpret a song and redeliver it with the same vocal charm and charisma that made the original artists so beloved.

With classic style and sophistication, Ron Hawking returns to the stage with his new critically acclaimed show that celebrates, The Men and Their Music. Having just completed another extended run at the Mercury Theatre in Chicago, The Men and Their Music is the perfect reflection to the energy and enthusiasm of big band music, Las Vegas headliners, and the musical legends that have touched all our lives.

In the summer of 1998, Ron Hawking created, produced and starred in the smash hit show, “His Way” A Tribute to Frank Sinatra. It opened at Chicago’s Mercury Theatre for a 6 week run, and went on to become one of Chicago’s longest running musicals. The “His Way” album, which he also produced, received distribution and airplay not only in the United States, but on the United Kingdom’s BBC as well.

In September of 1998, Hawking wrote the music and lyrics for “Go Go Sammy Sosa” as a salute to the Chicago Cubs superstar. In addition to major media coverage and airplay on national radio and TV, the song made its Wrigley Field debut at the final home game of the cubs 1998 season.

Hawking has performed at New York’s Carnegie Hall with the Philly Pops Orchestra and has opened for such notables as Carol Channing, Sheena Easton, Robert Klein, and The Temptations, just to name a few. In addition to being an accomplished vocalist, he is also one of the country’s leading impressionists. Hawking created and has been performing his one man “Lively Art of Impressionism” show for corporate events and fund raisers since 1988.

He’s a member of the The American Federation of TV and Radio Artists and The Screen Actors Guild. In the fall of 2008 Ron finished filming the Universal Pictures movie “The Express,” It’s the story of the first black NFL player to win the Heisman Trophy. Hawking portrays the part of the Syracuse University play-by-play football announcer…“The Express” stars actor Dennis Quaid.
